Sauvignon Blonde™ 2010 – a tart and flavorful Sauvignon Blanc that arrives just in time for summer enjoyment.
The label of Sauvignon Blonde™ 2010 features perhaps the best-known image of Marilyn Monroe. It is the scene in The Seven-Year Itch where she is standing on a New York City subway grate when a passing train sends up a breeze that billows her dress.
The 2010 vintage Sauvignon Blonde™ is a 100% varietal from the Yountville district of Napa Valley. Varietal aromas are a distinct combination of ripe grapefruit and pineapple lending to a classic balance of Sauvignon Blanc characters. The flavors are fruity, crisp and lingering.
"This fresh and lovely wine is fast becoming a favorite not only of fans of our Marilyn Merlot, but people who love good Sauvignon Blanc" says Donna Holder of Marilyn Wines, "and we’re finding that they often buy three bottles – one to enjoy, one to collect, and one to give a friend."

The 2008 vintage Sauvignon Blonde™ is a blend of 97% Sauvignon Blanc and 3% Semillon. Blending Semillon with Sauvignon Blanc is a common practice in France for the purpose of adding roundness to the structure of the wine. This wine's aromas and flavors are reminiscent of pineapple-infused grapefruit juice. The taste is refreshingly crisp and mouthwatering, beneficial attributes to accompany seafood, and light appetizers. Grapes for this wine came from one of our longtime growers in Yountville (Napa Valley).
