2024 Norma Jeane

In 2024 we were able to purchase Merlot that not only fits the Norma Jean profile of a more youthful approachable wine, but also grapes grown in the highly acclaimed Napa Valley.

Tasting Notes:

Mother Nature was again kind to us during the 2024 growing season. We had a close to normal rainfall which started in late November 2023 and continued until almost budbreak in the Spring of 2024. The temperatures throughout the growing season were mild, in the 80’s through most of the summer with only a few short heat spikes allowing for long hang times and optimal fruit ripeness at harvest.

The brilliant, vibrant garnet colors immediately impress. Hints of dark cherries, tree-ripened Santa rosa plums, purple flowers and subtle dried herbs excite our senses. Refined tannins and a silky mouthfeel glide over the palate with delectable flavors of dusty cocoa, ripe red cherry all well integrated with toasted oak and baking spices with a clean, long finish.
